They are not answering their phones. They are not paying vendors or dealers. Generator dealers who are still selling Coleman Powermate Generators are essentially selling unserviceable generators. NO warranty center is going to touch one of these generators knowing the state of the company.

In addition, at some point seemingly right after the NAFTA agreement was signed, it looked like these generators went down the tube in terms of ruggedness and reliability. Almost every week, we’d hear horror stories of consumers who bought a Coleman Powermate Generator and they barely got it started before the engine blew up, or they had a puddle of gasoline under the unit or some other mechanical failure.
