What is your purpose for buying a generator: Temporary power during construction

I purchased my NorthStar Generator after some considerable research. We had to have the right generator because currently there is no street power on this custom home site and it won’t be for another five to seven weeks and we’ve got to get this house built! Thus far my builder and a crew of five have been using the unit for about eights weeks and give it nothing but rave reviews. They power all of their tools and have had no down time at all. It uses around 15 gallons of gas a week… and even when running non-stop, it runs cool. Some other key points; I change the oil frequently and keep tabs on the maintenance, which probably is the reason I get excellent fuel usage.

Pros: Operating temp runs great, kick down idle, plenty of power and fuel efficient

Cons: Somewhat loud, wasn’t thrilled about the location of oil fill and drain

After Hurricane Frances I lost power for seven and a half days. I must admit, before Frances hit, I did like everyone else and attempted to find a Generator locally to no avail. Lesson learned; never wait until the last minute to get back up power supply. I went online to Findgenerators.net and saw that Northern Tools had what I was looking for. Ordered it on a Friday and had it at my home, hooked up and operational by Wednesday. When Hurricane Jeanne hit and the power went out, my NorthStar Generator operated like warrior. Thanks to Findgenerators.net for helping me out of a tight spot. My family will never be concerned about power outages again.
